Using "Covers" of music in creative marketing?

Hey guys, I created a Cover of a popular song by an artist. Since it's a cover, I was under the impression it falls under 'fair use' the same way a YouTube cover would be considered fair use. Looking for feedback on if I should get any type of licensing / if I should pause the ads that are currently performing great. Thanks
