How to stop people from skipping your videos (hide/show buttons)

When you send traffic to your warm up funnel you might not want the user skipping ahead to all the other videos in the series.

This of course will not allow the user to actually consume your content, the lead quality will be horrible, and most likely they won't even see your pitch or offer.

All we need to do to fix this is hide the "Next Video" button when the page loads, then show the button to proceed to the next video at the right time.

When is the right time to show the button?
You could show the button at the exact time you show your price in the video- this will of course be the highest quality lead since they have watched through the entire video.

But the downside to making a person watch through the entire video to get the next video is you will have very high "drop off", or people just leaving the page.

If you decide to hide the button to the end or pitch, make sure you are sending follow up emails to ensure the user can come back and watch later. Most people are busy or distracted- so just be sure to give them a way to come back and watch later.

Lastly.. as a media buyer I must give my 2c here..
If you are running any kind of cold traffic ads where this is the first contact point of a person seeing your product I would highly recommend testing a 30-second hide/show button if you have a video over 10 minutes. This is because most people won't make it past this point.

It's very important we hook the user in video number 1 so they crave what's inside of video 2 and so on. So if it were me I would test a 30-second button on video one to get the hooked first, then the other videos you could test longer hide/show buttons.

In my testing the most drop off is video 1, so just make sure you have a great hook!
